Who is Open Home Africa?

Open Home Africa’s mission is to help families and singles open their homes to children in need of loving homes. OHA strives toward a loving home for every child.

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.

Psalm 68:5

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

James 1:27

Open Home Africa’s 3 Principles

Before taking action, you must first understand the need. We want to help you see through the eyes of the social worker and the child who needs a loving home. You will learn their stories and the challenges they face so that you can take your next step.

You want to embark on the journey of adoption or fostering a child but yourself feeling overwhelmed, don’t know where to start. You are not alone. There is hope, and we will bring you resources and encouragement to help you.

You know the need is overwhelming, and you want to engage and encourage others to open their homes. We are ready to equip you to be a voice for the adoption and foster care community so that you can mobilise others to meet the need.
