8.3 Christian ethics is controlled by God’s law, which is expressed in the two great commandments (to love God and our neighbour), summarised in the Ten Commandments, and applied to the New Testament believer by Christ and the apostles (Matthew 5:17–20Mark 12:29–31Romans 13:8–10).

Article 8.3

This is an extract from Crystal Park Baptist Church Benoni‘s Confession of Faith. While our members must affirm the Statement of Belief our elders must, in addition, affirm the Confession of Faith. The document represents: the sound doctrine we teach, a unity between us on key aspects of the Christian faith, sets a clear expectation to our members and represents the leadership’s hopes for the congregation as a whole. This Confession is held by elders of member churches of Sola 5. Sola 5 is an association of God-centred evangelicals in Southern Africa currently with member churches in Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
