When do we meet?

Sunday Morning Service
Crystal Park Baptist Church Benoni’s Sunday morning service starts at 9:30am and ends around 11:00am. Before and after the service we serve tea and coffee.
Parking
Visitor parking is available on the church property (1 Clydesdale Road, Crystal Park, Benoni) and on the street (Clydesdale Road).
Disability Access
Parking closest to entry ways are enlarged and designated. Our halls have ramps, enlarged doors and appropriate thresholds. Chairs closest to exits are designated and door greeters with visible identification are available to accommodate special needs.
Guest Information
When you arrive a door greeter with visible identification will be on hand to greet you and give you some information regarding the Sunday service. We’re not going to call you up to the front or ask you to stand so do not fear.
What about our kids?

Infants
There is a quiet room for mothers with babies. The room has video feed, a changing mat and a toy box. Follow the signage from the main entrance. Many of our mothers sit in the service with their babies unless they become niggly.
Children
We run a Sunday school program for toddlers – 12 year olds before the morning service (8:30am to 9:25am). You can follow the signage from the main entrance. As a church community we love to have our kids in our services with us.
TEENS
We run a teen class for 13 – 18 year olds before the morning service (8:30am to 9:25am). They can follow the signage from the main entrance.
What’s our worship like?

Worship
Our service includes Bible reading, praying, giving, preaching, communion and singing. We sing traditional and modern hymns as well as contemporary worship songs. We have a piano, African drums, guitarists and a team of vocalists.
Dress
We’re relaxed. In Winter men wear jeans or chinos with button up shirts or jerseys. In Summer they wear chinos or shorts with button up shirts or t-shirts. Woman wear skirts or dresses, some wear slacks or jeans, all dress modestly. The preacher wears jeans or chinos and may wear a jacket or tie.
Atmosphere
Our worship is joy-filled, our preaching Gospel-centered. We’re a friendly, comfortable and diverse community. We utilize video, imagery and other creative expressions to communicate God’s Word.
Size
We’re about 140 people on a Sunday morning. We have seating for 170 and overflow for 60 so there’s plenty of room for everybody. We have people who attend from all four corners of Benoni and some folk from further a field.
Some other stuff

Denomination
In the strictest sense Baptists are non-Denominational and each local church is autonomous. We do participate in freewill associations. We are a member church of Sola 5, the Baptist Northern Association and the Baptist Union of Southern Africa. We’re a listed church on The Gospel Coalition and 9Marks. We also participate in a number of fraternals in Benoni and the Eastrand.
Benoni
We love God and have a desire to see His fame and renown resound in our city. To that end we seek to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace by working with other like-minded churches, seek to be a place of peace in the midst of chaos, a place of forgiveness for the guilty, and a place of hope for the hopeless.
